How is a Grand Coast quote calculated?
We charge a fixed hourly rate with a 3-hour minimum. Your written estimate gives a realistic time range built from your home size and the true access at both addresses — floors, elevators, carry distance, parking. The final cost is the actual hours worked at that same rate: no hidden fees, no move-day additions. Current rates: $139/hour for two movers and a truck, $169/hour for three.

What areas do you cover?
The coastal corridor from Malibu to Torrance — with Laguna Beach as our planned southern reach — plus anywhere in greater Los Angeles as a simple local move. Home port is Santa Monica.
How far in advance should I book?
One to two weeks for weekends and month-end dates. Weekday moves can often be arranged within a couple of days. We run crews every day of the year, 8am–8pm.
What's included in the hourly rate?
Crew, truck, fuel within the corridor, blankets, shrink wrap, tape, floor protection, wardrobe boxes on move day, and standard furniture disassembly and reassembly.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes — a 3-hour minimum, standard across professional movers in Los Angeles. It comfortably covers most studio and small moves door to door.
Do you pack as well as move?
Yes: full-home packs, fragile-only passes over the kitchen and glass, and unpacking with same-day box removal. Materials are billed at cost, itemized on the quote.
Can you move pianos and safes?
It's a specialty — boards, straps, and stair-trained crews for uprights, grands, safes, and stone. Standalone piano moves are quoted flat from photos.
Do you handle buildings that require insurance certificates?
Daily. Towers and managed buildings across the corridor require COIs and freight elevator reservations, and we file both with your management before move day.
What happens if my dates change?
Tell us as soon as you know. We reschedule without drama — construction delays, escrow slips, and shifting move-out dates are ordinary weather in this work.
